Clinical Supervision
Becoming a therapist is a journey, not a destination.
The transition from graduate school to independent practice is filled with growth, curiosity, uncertainty, and learning. Clinical supervision offers more than a place to discuss cases—it provides an opportunity to develop your clinical identity, strengthen your confidence, and discover the kind of therapist you want to become.
At Green Heron Counseling, I strive to create a supervision relationship that is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and connection.
My Approach to Supervision
I believe the same qualities that foster healing in therapy also foster growth in supervision.
My goal is not simply to teach techniques or provide answers. Rather, I hope to create a space where you feel supported in asking questions, exploring uncertainty, developing confidence in your clinical decision-making, and finding your own authentic voice as a therapist.
Together, we'll approach both your clients and your own development with curiosity instead of judgment, compassion instead of self-criticism, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
I view supervision as a collaborative relationship—one where challenge and support exist side by side, allowing space for both professional and personal growth.
Areas We May Explore
Supervision is tailored to your unique goals, experience, and stage of professional development. Topics may include:
Case conceptualization
Treatment planning
Building your clinical identity and therapeutic voice
Ethical decision-making
Countertransference and use of self
Working through uncertainty and imposter syndrome
Identity, culture, and systems within clinical work
Integrating evidence-based practices with individualized care
Professional development and self-reflection
My Clinical Background
My clinical work has included community mental health, higher levels of care, outpatient therapy, and private practice.
I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and have experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating OCD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity exploration.
My clinical internship at HIR Wellness Institute deepened my understanding of the ways identity, culture, systems, and lived experiences shape both healing and the therapeutic relationship. My work at Rogers Behavioral Health strengthened my expertise in OCD treatment and continues to influence how I conceptualize clinical care today.
These experiences continue to shape both my work as a therapist and my approach to supervision.
